Team Leader

Job Description

The Virtual Assistant Team Leader will play a critical role in leading the team. The main responsibilities of this role include providing guidance and support to the VAs, setting clear team goals, monitoring performance, and developing effective strategies to ensure team members comply with company regulations and achieve their performance objectives. In addition, they will be responsible for executing VA tasks in their absence if required, particularly for critical tasks identified by the client. The Team Leader will also act as the first point of contact to manage client communications, ensuring that all interactions are professional, timely, and efficient. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage a team of remote employees in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.


  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry.
  • Knowledge of business processes and best practices, with a strong understanding of virtual assistance services.
  • Proficient in project management and resource allocation, with the ability to monitor and report on team performance and progress.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that the team adheres to all necessary guidelines and standards.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, including communication and problem-solving skills when dealing with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
  • Capable of conducting and executing VA tasks in their absence, especially for critical tasks identified by the client.
  • Acts as the first level to manage client communications, maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, and the ability to produce high-quality written materials.
  • Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems in a proactive manner, ensuring the smooth operation of all aspects of the marketing team’s activities.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions, including maintaining a positive attitude, demonstrating empathy and understanding, and providing excellent customer service.
  • A strong commitment to upholding company rules and regulations, demonstrating compliance with all relevant policies and procedures at all times.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, and errors are identified and corrected promptly.
  • Availability and flexibility to work long hours as required, including outside of normal business hours, and being reachable and responsive at all times to support the needs of the team and clients.
